A) Diagram the land use model - include at least 4 rings.

Summarize three main conclusions and at least two concessions or assumptions of the von Thünen model of agricultural land use. 
C) Explain how the model is applied in different scenarios: ex.-Atlantic Seaboard of USA as urban center
D) Give an example and explain how the model works well today (Overlay model diagram over map of region). ***We will attempt a story map here using GIS so lets hold up with this step until further notice.***

APUSH >>> Today we will explore the Rise of the United States as a World Power & the Difference between Yellow Journalism and Muckrakers.
You will read each of the two excerpts from the New York Journal and the New York Times reporting on the sinking of the USS Maine.
USS MAINE: Two Versions
Upon finishing reading each of the excerpts, compare the evidence used by both papers to support their claims that the Maine was blown up by attack or by unknown causes.

APUSH>>> Today we will analysis and compare the two different and equally significant American men, W.E.B. DuBois & Booker T. Washington. These two men came from very different backgrounds and ultimately had different approaches to combat Segregation and Civil Rights violations against black Americans.  
​You and a partner will do a One-Pager Poster depicting your understanding of these two mens' goals, backgrounds and achievements. 

On your One-Pager, you must include:
A) Background Info. - birthplace, upbringing, education, coming-of-age occurrences, achievements, etc.
B) Their opposing viewpoints, method and ideology of what role blacks should play in society after Reconstruction (post-1877)
C) Consider using contextual events happening in and around the years after Reconstruction like: Plessy v. Ferguson, Lynching, Jim Crow Laws, "Redeemer" groups in the South, the Atlanta Compromise, the Great Migration, and the Niagara Movement.
